Your Personal Travel Guide to Help You Enjoy Your Travels

Do You Read The “Travel Troubleshooter”?

If you don’t use a travel agent when you travel, then you should read Christopher Elliott’s column in the Travel Section of your local newspaper.

I guess that with so many people using the online travel websites hoping to save a few bucks, that they are bound to be hundreds, even thousands who have problems. I have even used these sites myself to see what may be available, but after seeing so many people having trouble getting through to them by phone to deal with their problems, I would never book anything there.

I just read where some people had made reservations online for their trip to Paraguay. Unfortunately, they had to cancel the trip, and were advised that they were being issued travel vouchers to be used for a flight within the next 12 months.

Little did they know at the time, but the person they dealt with online did not know how to process the cancellation and issue the vouchers. The end result was that they did not have vouchers available when they tried to book their trip several months later.

They sent emails, they called, all to no avail. Fortunately for them, the author of the newspaper column intervened for them and was able to ultimately obtain a refund of their money so that they could book a new trip.

If they had only worked with a trusted travel agent, they could have avoided all the hassle.

So, if you are taking a trip in the near future, make sure to give Team Edwards Travel a call and we will take care of all the hassle for you.
